The Cross Inn is a genuine community
pub offering lots
of regular entertainment including a weekly quiz night
as well as music nights. There is also a pool table.
A roaring open fire provides a
warming welcome on
cold winter days whilst for sunny summer days there is
a relaxing outdoor courtyard seating area.
Since taking over at the
Cross Colin & Hazel
Ward
have built up an excellent reputation for their traditional
home cooked pub food.
This is complemented by a
fine selection of wines, fruit wines and, of course,
the very best hand pulled Timothy Taylor ales.

When
visiting Heptonstall why not linger a while
and explore the village? The village Trail offers a
fascinating insight into its history including the
bloody Battle of Heptonstall fought out during the
English Civil War in 1643.The Cross itself was originally known
as the Stocks Inn
and whilst the present frontage of the pub is Victorian
the rest of the building is much older. |
